About us
Our Story
We are a British family of 6 who have been living in Asia for the last 16 years having fallen in love with the people, culture, food and bright colours that surround us.
Holly & Rose, the second names of our 2 wonderful daughters, came about on a recent trip to Istanbul to add to our own family towel stock. In addition to bringing back these beautiful towels in an array of fabulous designs and colours for our own use, we returned to Singapore with a vision, new friendships and an opportunity to create an eco friendly business that the whole family can be involved in.
We first discovered these exquisite handmade textiles on a trip to Istanbul 10 years ago, and unbeknownst to us at the time, had forged a relationship that would later turn into one of a very different nature, presenting us with a rare opportunity to share a little bit of our everyday lives with our friends in Singapore.
Our Products
We truly believe that our textiles are like no others you have used before. Our products are made with the finest GOTs certified organic Turkish cotton threads by local artisans on old style shuttled looms who are passionate and skilled craftsmen.
A hand woven towel is very special in today’s market, not just because of it’s beauty, but due to the endurance: flat woven towels (pestamels) outlast factory-made by almost three times and, in the case off thick, looped towels, between five to six times longer. When you combine strength and integrity with the highest quality natural fibers, plus that aspect of a human soul that weaves its way into a handmade piece, you then have a product with a level of quality that is exceptional and an absolute rarity these days.
